Casa Catarina is a peaceful, self-contained home nestled in the hills of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo. Thoughtfully equipped for short or mid-term stays, it’s designed to be easy, cosy, and a little bit special. Whether you’re working remotely, travelling as a family, or simply taking a break, everything you need is already here, so you can focus on resting, exploring, or doing absolutely nothing.

Living Room
Kitchen
Stylishly painted in blue, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home. It includes an oven, stove, mocha pot, coffee machine, toaster, toastie maker, non-frost fridge, and all the essentials for everyday meals and slow breakfasts.
A calm and comfortable space with a double bed, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan for summer nights. The double-glazed window looks out onto the garden, letting in soft natural light and peaceful green views.
Master bedroom
Bright and welcoming, the living room features a comfy sofa bed, two armchairs, a coffee table, and plenty of natural light. It has air conditioning for the warmer months, a wood-burning stove for cosy winter evenings, and double glazing to keep things snug year-round.
Second bedroom
This flexible room includes a sofa bed that opens into two singles or one double, depending on your needs. With two desks, it’s perfect for guests working remotely or simply looking for a quiet, practical space.
Garden
The garden is lush and alive throughout the year, even midsummer brings green views. Orange and lemon trees line the space, and grapes ripen in early autumn. Private and peaceful, it's surrounded by soft hills, with wide open skies overhead.
The bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower, toilet, and a sink with mirror. You’ll also find a washing machine and usually some laundry detergent, we just ask guests to replace it if it runs out.

Plunge pool
Our private 6 m² plunge pool is perfect for cooling off after a hike, relaxing in the afternoon sun, or waking yourself up with a morning dip. The sound of the nearby stream adds to the calm atmosphere and if you're into cold-water plunges or Wim Hof-style rituals, you’ll love it here.
Outdoor dining area
Just outside the house, the patio includes two large tables and a parasol for shade. It’s ideal for slow breakfasts, sunny lunches, or warm evening dinners. The space is peaceful and private, with the gentle sound of water flowing from the plunge pool.
In the garden, two sun loungers offer a quiet place to relax, perfect for reading, napping, or simply soaking in the view. The parasol can be moved to provide shade if you prefer to stay cool while you unwind.
