Casa Catarina is a peaceful, self-contained home set in the hills of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo. It’s equipped for short to mid-term stays and designed to be both comfortable and easy to live in. Whether you’re working remotely or just taking time off, everything you need is already here.
Living Room
Bright and spacious with a comfy sofa bed, two armchairs, and a coffee table. There’s air conditioning for summer, a wood-burning stove for winter, and double glazing to keep it cosy year-round.
Kitchen
Stylishly painted in blue, the kitchen has an oven, stove, mocha pot, coffee machine, toaster, toastie maker, non-frost fridge, and all essentials for cooking and dining at home.

Furnished with a sofa bed that becomes two singles or one double. There are two desks, making it suitable for one or two guests or remote work.
Garden
The garden is beautifully maintained and full of life throughout the year - even in midsummer, the landscape stays green. There are orange and lemon trees, and grapes ripen in early autumn. It’s quiet, private, and surrounded by soft hills and wide views.
The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, toilet, sink with mirror, and a washing machine. You’ll usually find laundry detergent there -we ask guests to replace it if it runs out.

Plunge pool
The plunge pool is 6 sqm. It’s great for cooling off after a walk, relaxing in the afternoon, or taking a quick dip to wake yourself up. The sound of the stream nearby adds to the calm atmosphere. If you’re into cold water dips or Wim Hof-style routines, the pool works for that too.
Outdoor dining area
Just outside the house, the patio has two large tables and a parasol for shade. It’s a great spot for slow breakfasts, lunch in the sun, or dinner outside during warm evenings. The area is private, quiet, and you'll hear the relaxing sounds of the running water in the plunge pool.
We’ve added two sun loungers to the garden - a quiet spot to read, nap, or just enjoy the view. The parasol can be moved over if you’d prefer some shade.
